Aged North Georgia Banded Horn

This powder horn is a banded North Georgia horn with three horn bands, a two-piece turned wood butt with inserted wood button for strap attachment and steel tacks for decoration. The applied two-piece tip is made from turned horn and antler at the spout. The horn is aged and shows "wear" with worn bands on the inside of the horn and scratches on the front and back of the horn. This horn is patterned after an original that was in the Georgia Historical Museum.
